Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to attend every session? No — this is a “come when you can” program. It’s designed to be light, fun, and enjoyable.
- Will we get a uniform? Yes. Uniforms (courtesy of Beltway Lacrosse) should be ready by Week 2.
- Can I volunteer? Absolutely! We welcome all volunteers to help with lines, timekeeping, shot clock, and general support.
- Is there active coaching? Coaching is minimal — mostly minor corrections and assistance. 6U will have some instructional time before play.
- How are teams formed? Sticks are thrown in each week and coaches draw teams randomly. This gives everyone a chance to play with different teammates.
- Will we use goalies? Yes — goalies play when available. If none are present, we’ll use Hectors to cover the goal.
- How does Sixes differ from spring field lacrosse? Think shorter-field, basketball-style lacrosse. No offsides, fast-paced shifts, constant action, and lots of play.
Ready to join the fun? Register now for Summer Sixes and let your player enjoy a summer full of fast, exciting lacrosse!

Shootout for Soldiers is a 24-hour lacrosse event benefiting American veterans where participants raise money through registration fees, optional donations, and by playing Lacrosse. The event is fun. It’s not a tournament or about recruiting. The event is all about supporting those who serve our country.
The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row. Brigade fields teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U & 'Coach' age levels. Every team will play in at least one, 1-hour game.
- Schedule: Saturday August 1 - Sunday August 2, 2026
- Location: Gainesville High School
Coaches will be reaching out late-spring to field teams at each age group. Parents are encouraged to express interest too! Everyone is welcome to play.
